This wood planer was designed to trim planks of wood. Three pairs of adjustable clamps hold the wood in place and keep the entire length horizontal by pressing it against straight two guide beams. The planer has a knife inside that is placed at an angle to the plank. When the planer is moved back and forth over the plank, it shaves off layers of wood. The height of the plank can be adjusted to permit a closer trim.
